Rev. Ellen Debenport presents Principle Five: What are we here to do? Unity's fifth principles asks us "so, what now?" Knowledge of the first four spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them. What does that look like as we make our way through our day?
Here is what Unity Village Publications says about Rev. Ellen's new book:
A Guide to Practical Spirituality
Ellen Debenport probes the edges of faith in this remarkable book and points the way into the future. The Christian world needs to hear the meassage that she brings for it opens doorways into tomorrow.
--Bishop John Shelby Spong, author of A New Christianity for a New World
The Five Principles was written to provide tools for daily living and suggests answers to the great questions of existence that humans have been asking since the dawn of conscious awareness.
The five principles constitute the core teachings of the Unity spiritual movement founded in 1889 by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. These same principles reflect the laws of the universe that apply to everyone, all the time. They show up in every major religion and are all reflected in the teachings of Jesus Christ. The author encourages every reader to "work with these principles, test them, apply them to your life, and watch what happens." ELLEN DEBENPORT has served as senior minister to Unity churches in Dallas and Wimberley, Texas. Debenport has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Baylor University and worked as a reporter for United Press International and the Sst. Petersburg Times before becoming a minister.
