Expectations and Reality

Our best-laid plans are usually up for grabs, much to our dismay! Just about the time we've got everything worked out, life throws us something unexpected, sometimes better than we've planned; What do we do when we're overwhelmed, confused, knocked off our feet? How do we stop asking, "Why?" and learn to live with the unanswerable? There's always a solution—let's explore together!

Rev Jill Carey
Rev. Jill Carey celebrated 25 years of ministry this year. She has served at churches in Austin and San Angelo, and was honored to be the senior minister of Unity Center, A Church of Positive Prayer in Austin for several years. She served for nine years on the Licensing and Ordination Ministry Team (now renamed) at Unity Village, in which she mentored and monitored the growth and progress of ministerial students through their educational process. Rev. Jill “semi-retired” in 2007 to spend more time with her family, husband Bill and twin sons Alex and David, and to return to a childhood love—riding horses! Although temporarily sidelined by breast cancer, she was happy to return to the pulpit in Wimberley.
