Hell In The Hallway
We welcomed Reverend Ellen Debenport as our speaker. Her lesson topic was "Hell in the Hallway." Ellen joined us on Destiny Day Sunday where she got a really good view of what she saw as "a really great church." The board is interviewing Ellen for the position of our temporary minister this weekend.
Rev. Ellen was appointed Senior Minister at Unity Church of Dallas in December 2003 after serving four years as an associate minister. Before she was called to ministry, Ellen was a journalist with United Press International and the St. Petersburg Times, mostly covering politics. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Baylor University. She serves on the board at Unity School of Christianity.
Following her guidance, in January of 2008 Ellen moved outside the church to write, speak, and offer her message to a larger audience. Her new book, based on Unity's Five Principles, is due for publication this spring. Ellen is also the host of "Absolute Living" every Monday at 1 pm on www.unity.fm.

The Message of Hope... Awakening The Star Within
The Reverend Larry Wynn of San Antonio has been assisting Unity of Wimberley is a self-study process called Appreciative Inquiry to help put together the collective ideas of the membership and design the future. Today was dubbed "Destiny Day", nearly one year to the day of the beginning of the process. Rev. Wynn talked about how the process has helped the congregation through a difficult year by calling on the Star within every one of us and allowing it to guide our discussions.

You Decide
With boundless gratitude we thank Reverend Linda Pendergrass for the delightful way that she called us to task last Sunday! Delivering a message with divine wisdom and her wonderful sense of humor, Rev. Linda encouraged us to make conscious responsible choices to accelerate our spiritual lives so that we can be the healers to the world that we are here to be.
